ABOUT
Placing Shadows studio was officially founded in 2010 but Jvan Morandi has been creating shows since 1994 after graduating at Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
Since then the studio has collaborated with artists all over the world in projects ranging from theatre& opera to electronic music and environmental lighting.
Since the early days of dance music Placing Shadows have had the good fortune to tour with acts like Roni Size Reprazent, Faithless, Roisin Murphy, Placebo and many others
culminating with a longstanding collaboration with electronic music and visual pioneer Jean Michel Jarre.
Originally trained as a theatre designer I have had the honour to work with directors like Jonathan Miller and Deborah Warner in projects ranging from opera to plays in world famous theatres : Covent Garden Royal Opera House, La Scala Milano, National Theatre , Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester, Lyric Hammersmith to name a few.
